I was in two minds about giving away the secret on this little gem so to speak, mainly because if I had the cash spare I'd buy it to replace my E46. Only about 5% or UK E63's are manuals and the majority were V8s. So a manual 630i is not an every day find. Despite that it's not selling, it started at 5750 then went to 5250 and is now under 5k. That's crazy value for such a good car with a full service history.

Let's compare it to it's nearest rival an E92 330i coupe. Not only is this car a good 1000 cheaper but what may really surprise you is that it's also 55kg lighter! E63s used aluminium and composite body panels to keep the heft down. The 3.0 has the magnesium cored N52 / N53 engine and has 130kg less over the front axle than a V8 so it handles much better than a 645. The manual is a few g/km lower in emissions than the auto putting into a less expensive road tax band.

This model has the non-direct injection N52 six. I'd prefer that despite having a few horses less because all direct injection engines build up deposits on the intake valves that hurt performance and economy over time.

So all in all I'd say this fulfills my bargain criteria.
